    Frequently asked questions

Is the prayer times widget really free? What's the catch?
Completely free β€” no signup, no API key, no payment, no ads inside the widget. The only requirement is keeping the small "Prayer times by Musulman.app" attribution link, which is how we sustain the service. There is no catch.
Which platforms does the widget work on?
WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Joomla, and any website that accepts HTML code. If your site can embed an iframe, this widget will work.
    Does the widget update automatically?
Yes. Prayer times update daily and daylight saving time is handled automatically. You never need to touch the embed code once it's installed.
    Can I customise the widget?
Yes. Choose from 4 colour themes (Light, Dark, Green, Minimal), 6 languages (English, Arabic, Urdu, French, Indonesian, Turkish), adjust the width, choose which prayers to show, and select the Asr calculation school (Standard or Hanafi).
Do I need to keep the attribution link?
Yes. The "Prayer times by Musulman.app" link is required and must not be hidden or removed β€” this is what keeps the widget free. The anchor text must read "Prayer times by Musulman.app"; you may not replace it with "Powered by Musulman" or similar alternatives.
Does the widget show Friday (Jumu'ah) prayer times?
The widget shows the five daily prayers calculated for your city. Friday Jumu'ah time varies by mosque and is not a fixed astronomical calculation, so it is not included. We recommend listing your mosque's Jumu'ah time separately alongside the widget.
Does the widget replace our mosque's printed prayer schedule?
It complements it. The widget provides automatically updated daily prayer times based on astronomical calculations for your city. Many mosques use it on their website alongside their own schedule for Jumu'ah, Tarawih, and other congregation-specific times.
What data does the widget collect from our visitors?
No personal data is collected from your visitors. The widget loads prayer times for the configured city β€” it does not track, fingerprint, or store any visitor information. Our Privacy Policy covers all data handling.
Can you help us set this up on our mosque website?
Yes. If you need help with installation, email us at contact@musulman.app with your website URL and platform, and we'll guide you through it.
